Step 1: Fly to Padang in West Sumatra, Indonesia

Spend the night in Padang before departing on the ferry the following morning.

- Upon arrival in Padang, a Kingfisher Resort staff member will meet you at the airport and take you to your overnight hotel.

Step 2: Padang to Kingfisher Resort

OPTION 1: Fast Ferry + Speedboat Transfer (Recommended)

In the morning, a Kingfisher Resort staff member will pick you up from your hotel in Padang and assist you onto the fast ferry
The ferry departs Padang at 7am and will arrive in the capital of Sipora island,Tuapejat.
Our speedboat will be awaiting your arrival in Tuapejat, Mentawai in order to transfer you to Kingfisher Resort.

Ferry Schedule

Departs from Padang to Tuapejat at 7am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Departs from Tuapejat to Padang at 3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Total travel time: 4 hours

OPTION 2: Private Speedboat Transfer

A private speedboat is available directly from Padang to Kingfisher Resort. The private speedboat is exclusive to your group and can be tailored to suit your arrival / departure time in Padang.

FAQS

Why do I need to stay overnight in Padang?
This applies only to option 1. The ferry departs only once a day at 7am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There is generally not enough time to arrive in Padang and make it to the ferry in time, on the same day.
                      

How long does it take to get to the resort from Padang?
Padang to Tuapajet via ferry takes approximately 3 hours (option 1)
Tuapejat to Kingfisher Resort via speedboat takes approximately 1.5 hours (option 1)
Padang to Kingfisher Resort via direct private speedboat take approximately 3.5 hours (option 2)

Can I fly from Padang to Sipora Island where Kingfisher Resort is located?
Yes, you can charter a small airplane from Padang to arrive in Rokot, Sipora Island. We can arrange to pick you up with a car or boat in Rokot airport and bring you to Kingfisher Resort.
